Environmental Engineering ServicesThis activity has certain limits in a company our size. In the main, our company has performed many environmental impact statements (EIS) within the residential construction industry. Our Director has passed all public exams for the course "Master of Environmental Engineering Science" from the university of NSW in 1991, however, because of his limited time to be absent for his business, fulfilling the thesis part to gain the degree was not an option at any time. The time attending those lectures, however, was invaluable to our director Ted, who had graduated in Civil Engineering in 1967, in times when the environment was never considered, the project was commenced regardless and as Ted had recognised the unfortunate impacts over time, he became extremely concerned that our environment would be endangered if due consideration was not granted to it. It may be said that Environmental engineers and scientists are concerned with protecting the environment using the impact assessment procedure, so that any losses or impacts that a project may have on the air we inhale, the water we drink, the soil we erode, or the noise we generate above tolerable levels, must be measured such that over time we do not destroy the very lifestyle we are attempting to make for our communities, being human or animal. It is critical we have benchmarks set and evaluate the project before commencing by assessing what damage we may do to the environment if we don’t remove the problems caused by past activities. For example, environmental remediation to clean up contaminated industrial land before any further use could be contemplated is now mandatory. Continued auditing of industry to ensure the environment is protected should be a goal for engineer
